President & CEO, Co-Founder
As Calroy Health Science’s CEO, Ed Hoyt brings decades of experience as a successful business leader.
While he began his career as a rocket scientist, specializing in pneumatic fin-actuation control systems for missiles systems, Ed quickly recognized his true passion was entrepreneurship and human nutrition.
In 1993, Ed co-founded and led a nutraceutical company that grew from a converted closet in his home to over $150 million in total sales, with full operations in 13 countries. His company served over 5500 licensed health care professionals worldwide in addition to some 100,000 independent sales representatives. Its many first-in-class nutritional products were used by medical professionals, consumers, and by major sports teams such as the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, New York Jets and many more.
Under Ed’s direction, the company achieved the first NSF Certification for Sport. Its antioxidant formulation was chosen by the Russian government for the Children of Chernobyl. Its multi-vitamin was the first to be used in the US Government’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program.
Ed Hoyt has been featured in numerous business publications, including Entrepreneurs Illustrated, Opportunity World, Success Magazine, and the Nutrition Business Journal.
